Seven questions, the ones flatmates actually argue about
When you sign up you answer seven questions about living together. It isn’t a personality test: these are the things flatmates really argue about.
Every answer sits on a scale, from one end to the other. That’s what makes them comparable.

You decide how much it matters
For each question you choose whether it’s unimportant, important or a dealbreaker for you. Someone who can’t stand smoke and someone who can’t stand mess don’t have the same 80%.
You can mark at most two dealbreakers. If someone breaks one, you still see them, at the bottom, with a line that tells you why. Nobody ever disappears from your feed: with few students in a city, excluding them would leave you alone.
The percentage, with the reasons next to it
Uniflat compares your answers with other students in your city and weights them by how much they matter to you. Then it adds shared interests, the distance between the areas you’re looking in, budget, timing and age.
The number never comes alone. Tap the card and you see what you share, where you differ and what to watch out for. A number without a reason is a judgement; with the reason, it’s information.

One person at a time
The most compatible people come first, one card at a time, full screen. The photo is the heart of the profile, then the name, university, area and budget.
Nobody gets dismissed with a quick gesture. Three buttons: back, which really undoes your last choice; the yellow roof, to say you’re interested; next, to move on.
The chat only opens if you choose each other
Nobody can message you unless you chose them too. When the interest is mutual it’s a match and the chat opens. If you change your mind, you can undo the match at any time.
If you already have a free room
You post the house with at least three photos, rent, bills, area and availability. Then you invite your flatmates with a link.
People looking see their compatibility with the whole house, and the lowest number counts: if you’re at 90% with the house but 52% with one of the flatmates, your number is 52%. Because you’ll be living with that person too.
Every two weeks we ask whether the room is still free. If you don’t answer, the house pauses by itself: the feed only shows real rooms.
Safety, plainly
Uniflat is only for people aged 18 and over. You can block anyone, and blocking works immediately in both directions. You can report a profile or a message: we read every report within 24 hours.
Photos are kept in a private store, and before upload your phone strips hidden data, including GPS location. Only students in your city see your profile, and you can pause it whenever you like.
In April, someone will be looking for a flatmate like you.
